Police are currently investigating the circumstance surrounding a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred at Marong earlier this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
The incident happened on Allies Road when a car travelling towards Marong left the roadway and struck a tree at 12.20pm.
The driver, who was the single occupant, died at the scene.
Allies Road will be closed to traffic while investigators inspect the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
