Fatal Crash in Narre Warren East: Police Respond

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Narre Warren East this morning.

Emergency services were initially called to the scene following reports of a fire on the side of Wellington Road, near Muddy Creek Road, just after 4am.

A vehicle, which is believed to have been travelling north along Wellington Rod, was found on fire and crashed into a tree.

Sadly, the driver and only occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.

Wellington Road is currently closed, between Monash and Edebohls roads and will be for some time while police process the scene.

Police will prepare a report for the Coroner.
