Investigations are underway following a fatal crash near Hay yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 1.40pm today, police were called to Mid Western Highway, Gunbar, about 60km from Hay, and found a Holden Barina and a Kenworth prime mover had collided.
Emergency services attended; however, the driver of the Barina, a 65-year-old woman, died at the scene.
The driver of the prime mover, a 59-year-old man, was not injured. He was taken to Hay Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Griffith Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
A brief will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
