Approximately 1.20pm on Saturday, 18th March, a motor cycle travelling north on the Henty Road from Strahan to Zeehan near Pyramid Creek collided head on with a 4WD vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, Tasmania Police say.
As a result of the crash the rider of the motor cycle, a 47-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police and emergency services attended the scene and police are investigating and preparing a file for the Coroner.
No further details at this stage.
