Arson and explosive squad investigators are currently at the scene of a fatal house fire which occurred in Bundoora earlier this morning, Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were notified of the fire on Gordon Street at about 7.30am.
The fire, which caused extensive damage, was brought under control by MFB and CFA firefighters.
A deceased person was located at the property.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire and an arson chemist will examine the scene in an attempt to ascertain how the fire started.
