Police are currently at the scene of a fatal house fire in North Road in Hughesdale, Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to the house just after 4pm.
One person has been located deceased and is yet to be formally identified.
The exact cause of the fire and the death is currently being investigated and is yet to be determined.
North Road between Warrigal Road and Poath Road will be closed for some time and people are asked to avoid the area.
