Police are investigating the death of a boy during a jet-ski incident at Rasmussen near Townsville this afternoon (December 3), Queensland Police say.
At about 1.15pm on the Ross River near the Loam Island boat ramp, a 15-year-old boy was being towed on an inflatable tube behind a jet-ski.
The boy was thrown from the tube onto the rocky bank where he received serious injuries.
Despite attempts to revive the boy, he was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
No one else was injured during the incident.
Water Police are investigating.
