Fatal Motor Cycle Crash - Waverley

Around 9:30pm on Saturday 1 May 2021 a fatal motor cycle crash occurred on the Tasman Highway at Waverley, near Launceston.

A 29 year old male from Legana lost control of his motor cycle and crashed into a vacant business. The rider died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

Initial investigations indicate that speed may have been a contributing factor.

Police request anyone who may have witnessed the crash or observed the motor cycle prior to the crash are asked to contact Launceston Police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperstas.com.au.
