Police and emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal crash involving a motorcycle in Footscray, Victoria Police say.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established, however it is believed a motorcycle travelling along Ballarat Road lost control on tram tracks and struck a pole shortly before 4pm.
Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the man, believed to be aged in his 40s, however he died at the scene.
