Fatal motorcycle crash near Tamworth, NSW

A report will be prepared for the Coroner following a fatal motorcycle crash near Tamworth today., NSW Police say

About midday (Sunday 24 June 2018), emergency services were called to the intersection of Ogunbil and Nowendoc Road, about 40km from Tamworth.

Police have been told three motorcycles were travelling on Ogunbil Road, when one collided with the other cycle, left the roadway and hit a tree.

The rider, a 59-year-old man, was assisted by people nearby before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics, but died at the scene.

One of the male riders of another motorcycle was flown to Tamworth Hospital with suspected fractures.

The other rider and one female pillion were uninjured.

Officers from Oxley Police District established a crime scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
