Sadly, a 27-year-old provisional motorcyclist has died following a crash today on Main Road, Austins Ferry, Tasmania Police say.
Around 10am on Monday 22 January 2018, a black 250cc Kawasaki motorcycle travelling south lost control, hit the curb and slid along the nature strip. The rider was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Tasmania Police Forensic Service personnel attended the scene. The cause of the crash isn’t known at this stage and investigations are continuing.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or saw the motorcycle prior to the crash. Information can be provided anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers.
