Fatal pedestrian crash - Lansvale

A man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Sydney's south-west yesterday.

About 7.30pm (Tuesday 19 November 2019), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway near Cutler Road, Lansvale, following reports of a crash.

Police have been told a man was crossing the highway when he was struck by a Honda Jazz.

The man, believed to be aged 51, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died shortly after. He is yet to be formally identified.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The male driver of the Honda was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
