A person has died in a single-vehicle crash on the state's Mid North Coast.
About 9.40am today (Thursday 10 July 2025), emergency services were called to Hat Head Road, Hat Head, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District attended and found a vehicle had caught fire after crashing into a tree.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews extinguished the blaze.
The body of the driver, who has not yet been formally identified, was located inside.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
