Fatal Traffic Crash at Banksia Beach Under Investigation

Police are investigating following a fatal traffic crash at Banksia Beach yesterday afternoon, 20 January.

About 12.30pm, police were called to the intersection of Reef Street and Sunderland Drive following reports a blue Nissan Navara and a white MG hatchback had collided.

The driver of the MG, a 79-year-old Banksia Beach woman, died at the scene.

The driver of the Nissan, a 41-year-old Ningi man, was transported to Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are appealing to anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
