Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on the Gateway Motorway at Boondall this morning, Queensland Police say.
Initial investigations indicate that at around 8am a vehicle travelling south bound on the motorway has collided with a concrete side barrier.
Emergency services attended the crash and attempted to revive a 76-year-old man who was the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle. He was later pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash. It is believed the man may have suffered a medical episode before the crash.
