Police are investigating a traffic crash involving a mobility scooter, after a woman died at Coombabah this morning.
Preliminary information indicates around 11.15am, a vehicle was travelling westbound along Hansford Road, when it collided with a mobility scooter crossing the road.
The 87-year-old woman, riding the mobility scooter, sustained critical head injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
The 76-year-old male driver was not physically injured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
