Fatal traffic crash at Tanah Merah, QLD

Police are investigating after a man died in a single vehicle traffic crash at Tanah Merah last night (Tuesday, November 14), Queensland Police say.

Preliminary information indicates that around 11.30pm, the man was driving a prime-mover with a loaded trailer attached, westbound along the Logan Motorway, when the vehicle left the motorway and travelled down an embankment.

Police were notified around 10.40am this morning, after a passer-by located the crash
under the Slacks Creek Bridge.

The 57-year-old New South Wales man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

All lanes of the Logan Motorway have been reopened.
