The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred this morning at Biddeston, near Cecil Plains, Queensland Police say.
Police were called to Toowoomba Cecil Plains Road around 6.15am following reports that a car had struck a tree.
Initial investigations indicate the sedan was travelling west on Toowoomba Cecil Plains Road when it left the road and collided with a tree around 6.15am.
On arrival, emergency service officers located a 35-year-old Newtown man who had suffered critical injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police are appealing for anyone with dash cam footage who may have witnessed the white Holden Commodore in the area at that time to contact Policelink or Crime Stoppers.
