Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a man died in a single vehicle traffic crash near Cooktown overnight.
Initial inquires indicate around 11.10pm the man was driving on the Mulligan Highway about 30kms south of Cooktown when the vehicle has left the road and rolled.
The driver and sole occupant, a 56-year-old Edmonton man, died at the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
