A person has died following a two vehicle traffic crash which occurred approximately eight kilometres south of Guthalungra this afternoon, Queensland Police say.
Preliminary investigations indicate at around 5pm a car was travelling south along the Bruce Highway when it collided with a truck travelling north.
As a result of the crash both the car and truck caught fire.
The driver and sole occupant of the car was located deceased at the scene.
The male driver of the truck was transported to the Ayr Hospital with minor injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
