Fatal Traffic Crash in Gympie Region: Police Responding

A 32-year-old man has died following a fatal traffic crash in Booubyjan, near Goomeri, this morning.

Initial information indicates at approximately 10.30am, a car and a motorhome collided along the Burnett Highway.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 32-year-old Nanango man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

The driver and sole occupant of the motorhome, a 71-year-old man, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Murgon hospital.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision or CCTV from the area to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
