Fatal traffic crash in Inala, QLD

A man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash in Inala this morning.

Preliminary information indicates the SUV was travelling on Freeman Road when it left the roadway and crashed into a tree in the median strip around 6.30am.

The vehicle, a maroon 2007 Mazda CX-7 with Queensland Registration 560KNF, was engulfed by fire following the crash.

The male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police are continuing inquiries to formally identify the man and are appealing for anyone with information regarding the vehicle or the incident to come forward.

A Forensic Crash Unit investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
