Police are investigating a fatal traffic crash which occurred in Taigum tonight, Queensland Police say.
Initial investigations suggest around 8pm a car travelling south bound along Lemke Road struck a woman crossing the road.
The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the car is assisting police with their investigations.
Lemke Road (Handford Road) between Telegraph Road and Roghan Road remains closed to traffic with diversions in place.
The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating.
