Fatal traffic crash, near Miriam Vale

A man in his 20s has died in a two vehicle crash south of Miriam Vale today.

Preliminary information indicates two vehicles, a sedan and a small truck towing a caravan, collided head-on on the Bruce Highway, approximately 38kms south of Miriam Vale at around 11.10am.

The driver and sole occupant of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The occupants of the small truck, a man and woman aged 60 and from Glenella, sustained minor injuries and were transported to hospital.

The Bruce Highway has been closed for a number of hours with diversions in place and it is anticipated it will be open again early this evening.

Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
