Two people have died following a crash at Rocky River, near Uralla, NSW Police say.
Emergency services were called to Thunderbolts Way, approximately 20km from Uralla, about 1.45pm today, after two heavy vehicles crashed head-on.
Both vehicles caught alight following the impact.
Two people, believed to be the drivers, were located deceased at the scene. They haven’t been formally identified and their ages aren’t yet known.
Officers from New England Local Area Command have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The road is expected to be closed for a number of hours to enable examination of the scene.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
