Fatal Vehicle And Pedestrian Crash, Southport

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal vehicle and pedestrian incident at Southport on March 22.

Initial information indicates around 11.10pm a Hyundai Veloster was travelling westbound on Smith Street, when it collided with a male pedestrian.

A 21-year-old Southport man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 21-year-old male driver of the vehicle wasn't injured.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or who has dashcam vision, is urged to contact police.
