Fire-damaged bridges . . . we want to know - East Gippsland

Council is requesting the assistance of the community to report the location of bridges damaged or destroyed as a result of the bushfires.

Council's Acting Manager Assets and Environment Mark Burnett said it was very likely some of Council's 38 timber bridges will have been damaged.

"If anyone who uses a bridge for access to their property and has noticed it has been damaged, we ask that they report it to Council," Mr Burnett said.

"This will assist our bridge team understand the impact to our infrastructure and plan how we can respond to replacing these bridges as quickly as possible when access to the impacted areas is restored."
