Fire destroys home at Castle Hill

Fire has destroyed a house in Sydney's north-west overnight.

About 7.30pm yesterday (Thursday 26 November 2020), emergency services were called to a house on Neville Court, Castle Hill, following reports of a fire.

Police arrived to find the house and attached three garages engulfed in flames.

Fire and Rescue NSW worked for four hours to get the fire under control but the building was destroyed; the damage is estimated to be in the vicinity of $2 million.

No one was inside the building and there haven't been reports of injury.

Officers from The Hills Area Command have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Fire investigators and scene of crime officers were not able to enter the site until this morning; however, initial inquiries suggest the fire was not suspicious.

Anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time of the fire, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
