Police are continuing to investigate the cause of a fire at Durack on Friday, 28 November, after human remains were located.
Emergency services were called to a business on Freeman Road, near Rosemary Street, around 6:45am, following reports of a building on fire.
While the fire was initially extinguished that morning, officers were not able to gain safe access to the building until around 6pm that evening, where human remains were located.
Following forensic examination, yesterday afternoon, 1 December, the remains were identified as a 44-year-old man.
Investigations into the cause and circumstances of the fire are ongoing.
Officers are continuing to appeal to anyone with relevant information or vision, including CCTV and dashcam, to come forward.
