Firearm, drug and burglary charges in , QLD

Police have charged a man following a call to an address in Mount Warren Park this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

Officers were called to an address on Eastwell Court at 3.45pm following reports a man was allegedly shooting a firearm in the back yard and then walked onto the street.

He was restrained by a number of members of the public on Mount Warren Boulevard and police took the man into custody without further incident.

It is alleged that an amount of ammunition, a shotgun and a quantity of drugs were located with the man.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

A 26-year-old Pimpama man has been charged with one count each of burglary, going armed as to cause fear, possess explosives, possess knife in a public place, unlawful possession of a shortened firearm in a public place, trespass, threatening violence – discharge firearm, possess dangerous drugs and possess utensils.

He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow (July 24).
