A man will face court today after allegedly threatening his pregnant partner with a firearm on Sydney’s North Shore, NSW Police say.
About 7.30pm yesterday (Sunday 28 January 2018), police will allege a man assaulted his 22-year-old female partner, who is eight months pregnant.
He then allegedly produced a firearm and threatened her, a 21-year-old man and a two-year-old boy.
Police from North Shore Local Area Command attended and arrested a 27-year-old man.
Officers seized three firearms, ammunition and prohibited drugs.
He was taken to Chatswood Police Station where he was charged with 10 offences, including:
- Common assault (DV) (x2)
- Possess loaded firearm endanger life not public (DV)
- Possess unregistered firearm-not prohibited firearm/pistol
- Not keep firearm safely-not prohibited firearm/pistol
- Possess unregistered firearm
- Not keep firearm safely
- Possess ammunition without holding licence
- Possess prohibited drug
- Supply prohibited drug indictable quantity
The man was refused bail and is due to appear before Hornsby Local Court today (Monday 29 January 2018).
