Firearms stolen during break-in in Armidale

Police are investigating the theft of five firearms after a break and enter in the state’s north yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 9pm yesterday, a home on Butler’s Lane, Armidale, was broken into.

During the break and enter, the gun safe was accessed and its contents were stolen, including five registered firearms.

They include two shotguns, three bolt action rifles and ammunition.

Officers from Armidale Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Inquiries are continuing and police are appealing for anyone who may have any information to contact Crime Stopers.
