Firearms stolen during break-in in Dubbo

Police are investigating the theft of five firearms after a break and enter in the state’s Central West, NSW Police say.

Sometime between 8.30am on Friday 15 July 2016 and 2pm on Monday 18 July 2016, unknown person/s broke into a house on Oakdene Road, Dubbo.

During the break and enter, the entire gun safe and its contents were stolen, including five registered firearms.

They include two 12 gauge Beretta shotguns, a CMC .222 rifle, a Stirling rim fire .22 rifle, a Harrington single-barrel shotgun and ammunition.

Officers from Orana Local Area Command are continuing their inquiries and are appealing for anyone who may have any information to contact Crime Stopers.
