Reconstruction of a large section of Shillinglaw Road in Drouin is now complete improving safety and access for local road users.

Stage one of the reconstruction commenced earlier in February to widen and resurface a 600-metre length of road from Settlement Road to Amelia Court.

Completed works include:

  • Road widening
  • New kerb and channel
  • Improved drainage
  • Pavement construction
  • New sealed road surface

This $594,000 project has been funded through Council's 2018/19 Capital Works Program.

The second stage of works will target the remaining 1,000 metre length of road from Amelia Court to Gardner and Holman Road. $700,000 has been allocated for this stage in the 2019/20 Capital Works Program to commence this financial year.
