Police are appealing for public assistance following a fire at a fish and chip shop in Brunswick West early this morning.
Emergency services were called to the small fire at the shop on Grantham Street about 12.40am.
The front of the shop was damaged and the fire is being treated as suspicious.
Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating and are keen to speak to anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area
