Fit for a thief - Ascot Vale cafe burglary

Police have released CCTV and are appealing for public assistance to identify a man following a burglary at an Ascot Vale café last month.                                   Victoria Police say 

Police have been told an unknown man gained entry to via a delivery entrance to the Union Road café just after 7.50am on Wednesday 13 September.

Once inside the man has entered an office area and took a backpack containing gym clothing.  

It is believed the same man returned to the café about 15 minutes later wearing the gym clothing that was in the bag.

On this occasion he took five bags containing personal items such as key’s, wallets, tablets and cash.

Bank cads stolen during the burglary were later used in a number of deceptions in the Pascoe Vale area.

Investigators have released CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone who has information is urged to Crime Stoppers.
