Five arrested after fight on boat, NSW

Five people are in custody after an affray on a party boat at Darling Harbour, NSW Police say.

Just before 11pm yesterday (Saturday 24 February 2018), police were called to a fight at Darling Harbour, near wharf 8, during which a woman entered the water.

Police attended and separated the parties. No arrests were made.

While in attendance at that incident, a party boat docked nearby, with crew members alerting police to an affray on board.

Police boarded the boat and separated a number of brawling parties.

Four women and a man were arrested. They have been taken to Day Street Police Station.

One of the women, aged 25, is currently being charged with assault police and resist arrest.

Another woman, also aged 25, is being charged with hinder police.

The other three continue to assist police with inquiries.

One woman was taken to hospital for a possible hip injury.

Inquiries continue.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
