A man has been taken to hospital and five people have been arrested after a brawl in Liverpool last night, NSW Police say.
Just before 11.45pm (Friday 27 July 2018), police were called to the intersection of the Hume Highway and Atkinson Street, following reports a group of men were fighting.
When police arrived they located a man, believed to be aged in his 20’s, with injuries to his head and chest.
The injured man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
Four men and a woman were arrested at the scene and taken to Liverpool Police Station where they are currently assisting police with inquiries.
