Five charged after brawl, NSW

Five people have been charged after a brawl in Darling Harbour yesterday which left two people injured, NSW Police say.

Just after 7pm yesterday, officers were called to a licensed premises on Darling Drive, Darling Harbour, after reports four men were involved in an argument.

Upon arrival, police observed about 30 people involved in an altercation on the Promenade of Darling Harbour.

Backup was called and officers attached to Sydney City, Kings Cross, Police Transport Command and Operations Support Group attended to disperse the group.

Five men were arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station.

Two men received minor injuries as a result of the brawl.

A 27-year-old man was charged with assault (x2) and behave in an offensive manner in public place.

Three men aged 26, 25 and 23, were charged with affray and behave in an offensive manner in public place.

The four men were granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 1 November 2017.

Another man was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of hinder police.

All the men were also issued with Long Term Banning Notices for The Darling Harbour Precinct.
