Five teenagers have escaped serious injury after a car crashed into a tree at Salisbury North this morning, according to SA Police.
Just before 10.30am a small Nissan sedan collided heavily with several trees on Holstein Drive.
Shortly after the crash the male driver allegedly fled the scene while the four passengers (three teenage boys and a 14-year-old girl) were treated by ambulance crews and conveyed to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Further enquiries by Elizabeth police located the driver, an 18-year-old man at a Burton address, he was also taken to hospital with injuries as a result of the crash.
Elizabeth police will take statements from the four passengers and interview the driver who is believed to be unlicensed at a later date.
