Flinders Industrial Estate Enhancement

Shoalhaven City Council is pleased to announce that today the Member for Kiama Gareth Ward has provided $3 million from the Growing Local Economies fund, towards expanding infrastructure at South Nowra's Flinders Industrial Estate.

The funding will provide important infrastructure to allow the continuation of local business to grow in the area. Capital works for this upgrade include roads, drainage, water, sewer and electrical which will result in thirteen new industrial lots.

Mayor Amanda Findley welcomed news of the funding, "I thank the NSW Government for its support and look forward to work commencing on this next important project for the Shoalhaven community.

"Shoalhaven City Council will also commit approximately $1 million towards the Flinders Industrial Estate development." Clr Findley said.

Once complete, the 10th Stage of the Estate project will comprise over 200 industries, whilst creating substantial growth in regional employment.

"Council is committed to generating employment in the area and providing opportunities for grassroots businesses to grow." Clr Findley said.

Flinders Estate is one of three industrial areas under development, with other sites also at Huskisson and the Albatross Aviation Technology Park.
