Flood Advice - Parts Of Top End - Decreasing No 7

NT Government

Moderate to heavy rainfall associated with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle was observed across large parts of the Flood Watch area over the weekend, causing renewed flooding in some catchments. Heavy rainfall has eased and showers and thunderstorms are forecast over the next two days, but not expected to contribute significantly to riverine flows.

Elevated river levels are expected to continue easing across the Flood Watch area. However, flood impacts may continue for the next few days. Many roads may remain affected and some communities may remain isolated for some time. Check road conditions before travelling.

Major flood warnings are current for the Katherine and Daly River catchments. Minor flood warning is current for the Waterhouse River and a flood warning for the Roper River.

No further flooding is expected in the following catchment(s): Fitzmaurice, Moyle, Finniss, Tiwi Islands, Upper Adelaide, Mary, Wildman, South Alligator, East Alligator, Goomadeer, Liverpool, Blyth, Goyder, Buckingham, Koolatong and Walker
