ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:

Flooding is easing in the Flood Watch Area.

The tropical low has now moved westwards and the risk of heavy rainfall has eased in the Territory.

Catchments are moderately wet to saturated in the Flood Watch area after recent rainfall.

Scattered showers and storms will continue for the next few days, however no widespread heavy falls are expected in the Flood Watch area. River and creek levels are gradually easing across the Flood Watch area. Many roads may remain affected for the next few days, check road conditions before travelling.

A major flood warning is current for the Daly River catchment.

Safety Advice:

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.Check the ABC and local media for updates.
