Flood Warning - Decreasing Threat - McArthur River

The McArthur River at Borroloola peaked at 8.71 m around 12:15 am Tuesday 30 December, below the minor flood level and below the deck level of the bridge. The river is currently at 8.26 m and falling, below the minor flood level. The McArthur River at Borroloola is expected to remain below the minor flood level (9.00 m).

SAFETY ADVICE

· Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

· Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

· Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

· Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
