Focused Labor Shadow Ministry announced

Tasmanian Labor

Labor Leader Rebecca White today announced changes to her Shadow Ministry following the conclusion of the Clark recount.

"I am very fortunate to have a group of passionate and talented people in the Labor team who are working hard together for a better and fairer Tasmania," Ms White said

"Labor will continue to hold Will Hodgman and his lazy Liberal team to account.

"After five and a half years, Tasmanians now see Will Hodgman for who he is - a part time Premier who cuts funding for essential services while Tasmanians lose their jobs and people die needlessly in our state's hospitals.

"More than 5,100 people have lost full time work in the past 12 months, and more than 2,000 people are unemployed.

"Will Hodgman is leading the charge in the roll out of his $450 million in cuts to jobs and services - including massive cuts to hospitals, ambulance services, nursing jobs and elective surgeries.

"Labor knows Tasmanians deserve better.

"My united team will always stand up for Tasmanian jobs and it is only Labor that can be trusted to fix the crisis in our hospitals and health system."
