Bass Coast Shire Council will construct a two new footpaths in Cowes, starting this August.
A footpath will be constructed to link together the existing path along Church Street between properties numbers 89 to 95 and another will be constructed at the crossing point at the intersection of Steele and Chapel Streets.
Construction work will start during the week of 23 August and is expected to take around four weeks to complete, subject to favourable weather conditions and contractor availability.
This $20,000 project is funded by Council’s Capital Works Program.
Traffic and pedestrian measures will be in place throughout the duration of the works.
Road users may experience minor delays and may wish to seek alternate routes during the construction period or plan your trip accordingly. Every effort will be made to minimise disruptions.
