Police have praised crowd behaviour following the second game of the 2017 NRL State of Origin series held at Sydney Olympic Park last night.

A high-visibility police operation was in place between 3pm and 11pm today at Sydney Olympic Park, ensuring the safety and security of players, officials and spectators.

The operation included officers from South West Metropolitan Region, the Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS), Operations Support Group (OSG), Mounted Unit, Dog Unit, Police Transport Command, Licensing Police and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command.

A large number of stadium security and responsible service of alcohol marshals also assisted police at the ground during the operation.

During the police operation, three people were arrested for offences including assault police, resist arrest, offensive behaviour, and fail to quit.

In addition, thirty people were either ejected from or refused entry to the ground by police and security officers for intoxication, and anti-social behaviour.
