Forest industries thank outgoing AFCA General Manager Stacey Gardiner

Australia's forest industries thank Stacey Gardiner who has announced her resignation as the Australian Forest Contractors Association's (AFCA) General Manager, Australian Forest Products Association (AFPA) Chief Executive Officer Ross Hampton said today.

"We all sincerely thank Stacey for her efforts leading forest contracting businesses, on the ground in forests, and on the road with haulage. She will no doubt take her work ethic and can-do attitude forward to her next role," Mr Hampton said.

Stacey has been AFCA's General Manager since 2015. She established AFCA's first strategic plan, restructured the Association's administration and has streamlined service delivery for members.

"She has been a tireless advocate in an increasingly difficult forest contracting industry, taking up numerous issues for the hardworking businesses which AFCA represents," Mr Hampton said.

"In 2019 Stacey joined the AFPA board where she has made significant contributions to the Association. I have always valued her advice, especially when it comes to the impacts on the small operators she represents. She leaves AFCA well equipped to represent the industry in the future," Mr Hampton concluded.
