Former officer charged - south

A former senior constable has been charged with historical sexual offences.

In April 2023, investigators from the Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation following a report that a 13-year-old child had allegedly been sexually assaulted by a man in Sydney's south west in 2017.

Following investigations by officers from the State Crime Command's Child Exploitation Internet Unit Strike Force Trawler, a 48-year-old man was arrested in Ruse today (Thursday 1 July 2023).

The man, who was a senior constable at the time of the alleged incident, was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with two counts of have sexual intercourse with person >=10 &

He was refused bail to attend Campbelltown Local Court today (Thursday 1 June 2023).

The man is no longer employed by the NSW Police Force.
