Former Rebels OMCG Chapter Vice President and associates charged with robbery offences, NSW

A former Chapter Vice President of the Rebels OMCG and two associates have been charged after allegedly planning a robbery, NSW Police say.

In August, police from the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor commenced an investigation after receiving information about a planned robbery.

Following extensive investigations, a 20-year-old man was arrested at Windsor Police Station about 7.45pm on Monday (26 September 2016), and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery in company, and possess prohibited drug.

The Vineyard man was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Tuesday (27 September 2016), where he was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Tuesday 8 November 2016.

Following further inquiries, a former Chapter Vice President of the Rebels OMCG was arrested at Auburn Police Station yesterday.

The 31-year-old man was charged with commit robbery in company and refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Friday 28 October 2016.

Another associate was arrested at Auburn Police Station today, and also charged with commit robbery in company.

The 30-year-old man was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Friday 28 October 2016.

Police will allege in court the trio were planning to rob another man of his vehicle.

Strike Force Raptor was established by State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009. It is a proactive and high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and any associated criminal enterprises.
